At Slots of Vegas, we’re all about bringing you an authentic Las Vegas experience. We’ve got the casino games (over 160 of them). We’ve got the live dealer action to bring the real Vegas fun to you. And we’ve even got 6-figure jackpots. But one thing we don’t have is non-casino entertainment.
Sure, you could always throw on Netflix or HBO and watch what you want while you play. And yes, you can play Slot of Vegas on your mobile while you’re out and about enjoying live theater (though we don’t recommend it since you’ll get kicked out). But at the end of the day, nothing beats Vegas.
If you’re heading to Sin City, chances are you’ll want to see some live shows to fill the gaps between eating, gambling, eating, and of course gambling. And eating and gambling.
So we’ve put together a list of the best shows you need to see in 2015 in Vegas. Enjoy.
Zombie Burlesque – V Theater
Burlesque shows have become a mainstay in Las Vegas. Some people love them. Other people can’t understand the allure. But no matter how you feel, Zombie Burlesque will change the way you think about burlesque shows forever. The show combines the sexiness of burlesque shows with zombies. The result is fun, sexy, and a tad scary. Definitely worth checking out.
David Copperfield – MGM Grand
I’ll always hold a special place in my heart for David Copperfield, the famous Las Vegas illusionist. On my first visit to Las Vegas in 2004, I managed to score free tickets to the show. My friend’s brother worked on the lighting crew for the show, so we got great seats for free. It was my first time in Las Vegas and the show was mesmerizing. I remember Copperfield plucked a kid from the audience, brought him to the stage and made him disappear and reappear at the far end of the theatre in a matter of seconds. Sure, trap doors could have been involved, but the timing was so quick I truly believe magic was at play here.
Frank The Man. The Music. – Palazzo
If you’re a fan of Sinatra, you’ll love this show. Impressionist Bob Anderson does a phenomenal job of personifying Frank Sinatra, so much so that you’ll actually believe you’re watching and listening to Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. There’s a lot of audience interaction and the whole vibe of the show makes you feel like you’re watching a show in old Vegas.
Criss Angel – Luxor
You’ve probably seen his show on TV. Chris Angel performs live magic throughout the streets of Vegas, mesmerizing passerby with his surreal illusions that you can’t believe are real. And watching the show, I’ve always doubted that they were. Surely, the street “audience” are paid actors, right? Well, after seeing Chris Angel Believe in Vegas, I now believe they’re real. This magic show is unlike others you might have seen, combing magic with the impressive acrobatics of Cirque due Soleil.
Chippendales: The Show – Excalibur
Here’s something for the ladies. Whether you’re in Vegas with the girls for a bachelorette party or you’re just there to enjoy a girls weekend, Chippendales is a blast. Rock-hard abs are standard in this one, so if that’s your thing, you’ll love it.
Carrot Top – Luxor
I’m not a huge Carrot Top fan, however I have a friend who loves him, she even finds him a bit hot (why? It’s beyond me), so when my friends dragged me to see the show, I was hesitant. After all, I watched the movie Chairman of the Board, which might be the worst movie I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen Clifford starring Martin Short as a 10-year-old boy, so that says something. But this show was surprisingly fun, with Carrot Top bringing his bag of zany inventions into the mix. Lots of laughs in this one, even if you’re not a fan of the man with crazy orange hair.
