A Girl’s Guide to Success at Casinos!

My three best friends, all women, decided that they want a casino weekend with me. Mind you, from our group of friends, I’m the only one who really knows how to play casino games and what to do in a casino. (lol)

Amy, my friend from childhood, was the one who booked the hotel, the airplane tickets and overall, is in charge of our trip’s logistics; however, she came to me with a big question mark on her face. “Susan, but what do we do once we’re there?” she asked. And then, I realized that we might need a meeting to talk about the casino world and what to do and what not to do in a casino. This post comes in a more “professional and organized” manner as a result of our meeting.

The bartender is your best friend. Tip him or her and you will be in heaven.

Let’s start by saying that this is a universal law for any bar, restaurant, disco or casino you visit. Tip 30% of your bill and absolutely always look for the same bartender. She or he will treat you like a VIP customer during your whole stay. And who doesn’t like to be VIP?

Find a game with only one payout line

Ladies, keep it simple! Choose games with just one line to win on. These games are simple to understand, but more importantly, these games control your urge to bet more credits. The more paylines you have, the more money you have to spend each pull.

Only bring the money you can spare to lose

Before you even jump into the plane or bus to go to the casino, make sure you’re bringing from home the exact amount you are able to lose in the casino. Pretend you won’t earn anything. You will just lose it all! I think it’s pretty clear why this tip is important for anyone going to a casino, right?

Join the Players Club

Every casino has a player’s club. This is what you do when you go to a casino. It’s like flying with an airline and joining the air miles program. Same thing and same benefits for treats, bonuses and free games at the casino.

Don’t play anything other than slot machines unless you know what you’re doing

Hello! This is logical! I don’t go anywhere near the table games. There are some slot machines I don’t go anywhere near because I have no idea how to play. Just because you’re in a casino and now have a player’s club card, doesn’t mean you’re an expert.

Check the machine before you start using it

Make sure you check the number of credits of the person who played before you. The games the person before you played can make you lose money on your games.

Have fun

Once you have your betting amount set and you’re ready to play, just have a good time. The bottom line of going to a casino or spending a gambling weekend in one, is that you shouldn’t spend more than you can afford to lose. For the rest, the casino is yours!
