For the ultimate couples weekend in Vegas, start here

Las Vegas is often described as Sin City and, naturally, it attracts a lot of bachelor and bachelorette parties. Walk Las Vegas Boulevard and you’ll see the same scene over and over again. We’re talking about girls dressed up for the ultimate club experience, with usually one of them wearing a “bride” sash. Or guys roaming the strip completely hammered.

But that’s just one side of Vegas. The other is one incredibly romantic location that attracts lovebirds from all over the world. If you and your significant other are thinking about taking a trip to Las Vegas, chances are you probably have your dinners and shows planned out. We’re guessing it’s an Italian or steak restaurant (or both). And we’re guessing you’ve probably already purchased your Cirque de Soleil tickets. But there’s so much more to Vegas than dinner and a show. Today, we’ve got some fantastic ideas for how to have an incredibly memorable Las Vegas couple’s vacation.

Stroll Fremont Street

Looking for a little bling in your life? Who says diamonds have to be the answer. Head over to Fremont Street and enjoy all the sparkling goodness that is the Fremont Street Experience. There are loads of LED lights and you’ll be immersed right in the middle of the show. If anything, it should work well to distract her from hitting the jewelry store.

Get Married

Today, people are all about doing things on the cheap. Tiny homes are all the rage, with people opting to live in 400 square feet mobile homes instead of 3,500 sq ft palaces. And the same trend is happening with marriages. Traditional big-hall weddings are out and innovative, more memorable weddings are in. And what could be more memorable than being married by Elvis? OK, a Vegas wedding doesn’t have to be that kitschy. You can actually find a pretty tasteful wedding chapel in Las Vegas. And most of the fancy hotels have wedding packages to make you feel like a million bucks.

Get a Couple’s Massage

You’ll find some of the world’s greatest spas located in the heart of Las Vegas. And what better way to take the edge off from a night of partying than with a late-morning (or early afternoon, depending on when you wake up) couple’s massage? Relax together in a romantic setting and unwind while licensed masseuses work their magic to make you way less tense.

Hit The Bare Pool

If you really want a couple’s experience beyond compare, head over to The Bare Pool at The Mirage and unwind for the day. The pool is European style, which means women are allowed to go topless. Even if that’s not your thing, there is an advantage to the pool. The Bare Pool is 21 and over, meaning no young kids around to ruin your couples experience.

Watch The Bellagio Fountains

Whether it’s your first time in Vegas or you’re a frequent visitor, nothing beats The Bellagio fountains. They are absolutely phenomenal to watch and if you’re there with your significant other, there’s nothing more perfect. The soundtrack in which the water fountains dance to is romantic and with the Las Vegas sky all lit up at night, it’s even more so. For an even better view of the fountains, consider a fountain-view room at The Bellagio. You can also find similar rooms across the way at Planet Hollywood and Paris. However, The Bellagio fountain-view rooms come with an advantage. You can turn on the TV and listen to the fountain soundtrack as they dance. Pour a couple glasses of champagne and sit in your bathrobes for the ultimate relaxing couples experience.

Enjoy Couples Yoga

Seriously. Yoga can be a great way to relax and detox your mind after a night of madness in Sin City. And if both of you are into yoga, you can enjoy a couple’s workout at Hot Pilates & Yoga, located off the strip. The yoga session takes place by candlelight, making it even more romantic as you practice your downward dog.

Take a Balloon Ride

I’ve been apt to avoid hot air balloon rides ever since I watched that Perfect Strangers episode in which Balki and Larry end up dangling from the basket, high above the clouds. It turned out fine for everyone involved, but I still can’t fathom the idea of flying through the air with nothing but a piece of fabric and some fire holding me up (how does that even remotely make sense?). But if you lack fear, a hot air balloon ride above Las Vegas is one way to make romantic memories happen.

Hit the Slots and Tables

It wouldn’t be a trip to Las Vegas without a little gambling. Nothing brings couples together like rolling the dice at the Craps table, but pretty much any game will feel romantic when you’re playing together. If you’re not a big spender, head over to one of the smaller, less glamorous casinos for the chance to play $5 Blackjack.

Stay in and gamble—in your hotel room

In the mood to gamble but prefer to play in your jammies (or nothing at all)? Fire up Slots of Vegas on your PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet and enjoy the best Las Vegas has to offer from the comforts of your room. Double down at the Blackjack tables while taking two bites of that room service cheesecake. Or roll the dice at the craps table while you roll around on the bed (hey, it’s a couples getaway, we don’t judge).

To get started, create your free Slots of Vegas account. All you need to do is choose a username and password and enter a few pieces of personal information. Once you’re set up with an account, you can play your favorite games. And remember, since Slots of Vegas works on smartphones, you can hit the slots and tables while doing pretty much any one of these activities. Just don’t let the yoga instructor see your phone.
